Tallahassee Grapevine at the Food Festival

Tallahassee Grapevine had a great time at the Tallahassee Food Festival this past Saturday, Sept 24th, 2011.

Our table had the flat screen on it so people could play with the site.  They love the Tallahassee Blogs Articles and the Tallahassee Events Calendar.  But a lot also liked the Tallahassee Coupons.

We got hundreds of people to sign up for our weekly newsletter, which also entered them to win tickets to Brewfest! Tallahassee.

Here is a photo of my booth:
If you ever need to Print Postcards and Flyers Online, let us know. We can get it done quality, local and the best price in town because we do bulk orders.

I also need to recommend Tallahassee Dentist Paul J. Smith - he is a great guy and has a solid practice up off Killearn Center Blvd.

Tallahassee Grapevine - Random Thoughts on a Monday

It's pouring rain outside.  I managed to sneak out to get a late lunch in between downpours. I have been working all day on the sponsored blogs - getting ready for this week's newsletter for Tallahassee Grapevine.

I was stressed out yesterday. I felt that we did not have any articles to include in the newsletter. As of right now, I have 9. Which is too many. And it is only Monday. People could write more before Wednesday. Ugh.

I am doing some work for a Tallahassee Dentist.  Trying to get his site optimized. I hope he understands that it takes time.

I am pretty excited because a lot of our generic keyword searches are pulling us up on the front page of Google now. Phrases like Tallahassee Coupons  or Tallahassee Blogs  or Tallahassee Events  or even Tallahassee Marketing -  Plus, a lot of firms in town are now signing up to use the site. It reminds me of Anchorman's "I'm kind of a big deal around here..."

We hired a salesperson today. He will do well. He needs to network. Once he exhausts his circle, he will have to have a pipeline going.

I guess I am done for today. Thanks for reading my rant. Amen.

TallahasseeGrapevine.com Is Growing Stonger Day by Day

The Difference Between Tallahassee Grapevine and Facebook.

A Grapevine site is a social media network JUST for your local area but with more attributes - Like you do not have to be a friend of a friend to find an interest group, an event or read an article. It is more like a Free Press Magazine for Your Community. There is only one Facebook, it is just REALLY big. But there is a Grapevine for each community. All separate. There are going to be Grapevines in 100s of communities, maybe even 1000s when it is all said and done... Because It All Comes Back to Local.

When you think about it, Facebook is local.  Unless someone had moved around a lot, I would gander that 85 to 90% of the People and Businesses that you are connected to are local.  Why would you LIKE a pizza place in Milwaukee when you live in Philadelphia?  It is local because that is what people want, that is where they are comfortable.  Sure we might let a big celebrity, artist, movie or national chain or product slip in there - but they advertise locally, too.

People are bound to their community, it is where they work, shop, go to church, socialize...

That is why we have such a comprehensive event calendar on any Grapevine. If you were putting on an Event in Tallahassee, why wouldn't you want to create a nice page for it anywhere you could?  Anywhere potential attendees would come see it. Especially when it is as easy as it is on Tallahassee Grapevine.

Think about it. Until then... see you on Tallahassee Grapevine... and Savannah Grapevine... and Rochester Grapevine... and Milwaukee Grapevine... Etc etc etc.

Tallahassee Grapevine gets once in a lifetime opportunity

The folks here at Tallahassee Grapevine are excited.  We launched in June of 2010 with a vision but no clear way to get there. We knew the site had tremendous potential to be like free press for the local community.  With the blog articles, the event calendar and the video classifieds - we were very unique as everyone could design their own pages for whatever they had to say.

We really hit our groove in early 2011 after 8 months of growing pains and learning curves.  Now we feel we have the system for success down. The whole point of a Grapevine is that it is local. It is not like Facebook where there is only one national site. The Grapevine's are all separate and JUST for that specific city, region or community.

There are already 200 Grapevines ready to be licensed with plans to create 1000 more in the United States and Canada.

Besides Tallahassee, we are focusing on the following sites:
Savannah Grapevine
Downeast Grapevine
Hudson Valley Grapevine
Milwaukee Grapevine
Rochester Grapevine
Rome Grapevine in Georgia
Mohave Grapevine in Arizona

We are so excited! We are going to have a launch party at University Center Club at Florida State University very soon!

Big Plans for Tallahassee Grapevine

TallahasseeGrapevine.com launched on June 20, 2010.

It's local, do-it-yourself community format kept users coming back to see what articles were being written, what events were happening that night or weekend in Tallahassee, to find a Tallahassee coupon, start a group or use any of the many, many features.

We even started a new feature called "Buzz on the 'Vine" in which we take pictures of our neighbors out and about at Tallahassee events and post them in the magazine. What Fun!

The big news is, with so much success here in Tallahassee, we are taking it national! There will be a Grapevine is over 100 cites within one year! We hope to one day have one in over 1000 cities and regions!

There Will Be a Grapevine just like Tallahassee Grapevine in Your City Soon!
